   Prior to this, Wang Yufeng had participated in the compilation of standards such as "Extra-Pushing Emergency Window for Passenger Cars" and "Window Breaker for Passenger Cars".

   In 2018, there were many disputes between bus drivers and passengers across the country, especially the Chongqing “10.28” incident that caused widespread concern. According to the "black box" monitoring display, the passengers and the driver fought each other, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into the river.

   Twelve days after the Chongqing accident, on November 9, the Ministry of Transport issued a document requesting localities to investigate the safety protection and isolation facilities in the driving area of ​​urban buses and trams, and formulate installation and renovation plans. According to the spirit of the document, old cars must be retrofitted with safety protection and isolation facilities, and new cars must be equipped with this facility.

   For the facility called "surrounded by drivers" by the industry, the Ministry of Transport also put forward a number of requirements in the document, including: clear installation time nodes, technical requirements, and safeguard measures.

   One month later, the issue of public transport safety protection standards was raised to a higher level. On December 13, the Office of the State Council’s Security Committee requested that the installation standards for safety protection and isolation facilities in bus driving areas be standardized and promoted to all retrofit existing buses.

   Suzhou, one of the demonstration cities for the construction of the national public transport city. On January 13, Dong Wenyu, director of the Comprehensive Transportation Department of the Suzhou Municipal Transportation Bureau, revealed that the local area has implemented a full-process management and control system for bus safety.

  Similar to Suzhou, many places have included "driver encirclement" into the plan. "Take the transformation of old cars as an example. What standards are they based on? This is a problem. In fact, new cars are also faced with it. "Wang Yufeng believes that if the national standard is introduced, the implementation of "driver encirclement" requirements will become accurate.

   In order to participate in the drafting of the national standard well, Wang Yufeng conducted an in-depth investigation of the industry, coupled with 5 years of monitoring of his own products, based on this, he summarized the major problems of the current market products.

   For example: abnormal noise, drooping doors, design, material and other issues that affect the driver's observation of the external environment, and the reflection of glass material affects driving. "Reflection is one of the serious problems", Wang Yufeng revealed that before many drivers reported that when meeting cars at night, at a certain angle, the glass on the "driver surrounding" would refract light into the eyes.

  Wang Yufeng said that although these problems have been basically solved through technological improvement and product optimization, he believes that "experience" should be written into the national standard to form an circumvention. In his view, "driver siege" is also one of the ways to avoid similar accidents in Chongqing. He hopes that the improvement of technology and the improvement of equipment will make similar accidents no longer occur. But he also believes that if the "driver surround" is designed so that no passengers outside can open it, there may be problems. “If the driver has a sudden illness that affects safe driving, do you need help from the passengers?”
